Privacy policy

Your files and the text you type never leave your device, because there is no server for them to go to.

What we never see

Every tool runs in your browser. Files you open, text you paste, passwords you generate, colours you pick — none of it is transmitted, logged or stored. There is no backend to send it to.

You can check this yourself: open your browser's Network tab and use any tool, or go offline after the page loads and use it anyway.

What is kept on your device

Three things, none of which leaves it and none of which is a cookie:

  • your light or dark theme preference
  • your answer to the cookie banner
  • a copy of the site's own pages, so the tools work offline

Clearing your browser data removes all three.

Analytics

What you do inside a tool is never measured. Which pages get visited is. There are two measurements, and they are not the same kind of thing.

Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and loading speed. It sets no cookie and writes nothing to your device, so there is nothing to ask permission for and it runs for everyone.

Google Analytics adds approximate country and returning visits. It loads on every visit, but what it is allowed to do depends on your answer. Say no — or say nothing — and it sets no cookie, attaches no identifier to you, and sends only an anonymous note that a page was viewed. Say yes and it may set its cookies and recognise a returning browser. You can change that answer at any time through the Cookie choices link at the foot of every page.

So a request to Google appears in your network tab either way, and it is worth being plain about why rather than hoping you do not notice: refusing stops the storing and the identifying, which is what the banner is asking about, not the counting.

Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs — IP addresses and requested URLs, as any web server does. They are not linked to an identity.

Advertising

No advertising runs on this site today. When it does it will be Google AdSense, which sets its own cookies and may use them to choose ads based on your browsing. Visitors in the EEA and the UK will be asked first and can refuse.

Advertising cookies concern your browsing, not your files — an ad network on this site still cannot see a document you process here, because it never travels anywhere.

You can opt out of personalised ads at Google's ad settings or aboutads.info.

Cookies

Termiva sets none of its own. The only cookies are Google's — Analytics if you allowed it, and advertising once it is live. Both are refusable, now or later, and every tool works identically either way.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and collects no personal information from anyone.

Your rights

Access, correction and deletion apply to personal data a service holds about you. We hold none. If you believe otherwise, get in touch.

Other sites

Some pages link elsewhere. Those sites have their own policies and this one does not cover them.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything material is noted rather than made quietly. Questions go to the address on the contact page.
